What is there to be proud of?

We envy the grandeur and glory of great people,

But we don't see their illnesses and sufferings.

Dozens of dishes are laid out on someone's dining table,

But he is dependent on only a few morsels.

Someone owns billions,

But needs the support of four people to stand on his own feet.

Someone travels in planes,

But doctors and machines are always with them.

And us...?

We can walk on our own feet,

We can eat with our own hands,

And by the grace of Allah, what we eat is also eliminated from the body.

This is such a great blessing, we don't even think about it.

A human becomes helpless from a single nerve being pulled,

He cannot even lift a spoon.

This is our true reality.

Then what is the pride for?

What is there to boast about?

What a beautiful thing Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA) said:

"Make perfume from flowers...

Still, your scent will not disappear

First, eliminate your 'I'"

Meaning, no matter how much you adorn the exterior,

Until the "I" within is eliminated,

The scent of arrogance does not go away.

Let us give thanks,

Let us continue to repent,

And adopt humility.
