A man married a learned woman 😉
After the wedding, the woman said: "Since I have knowledge of religion, we will live our lives according to Sharia."
The man was overjoyed to hear this, thinking that with his wife's blessing, there would be a religious atmosphere in the house and life would be spent according to the commandments of Allah. But after only a few days, the wife presented her demand:
"Look! We had pledged to live according to Sharia, and according to Sharia, a wife is not obligated to serve her in-laws. Also, it is the husband's responsibility to arrange a separate house (including a toilet and kitchen) for his wife. Therefore, you should arrange a separate house for me."
The man was very worried, thinking that a separate house could be arranged, but what would happen to my elderly parents? Who will be their support? In this confusion, he went to a Mufti Sahib and explained his problem.
The Mufti Sahib listened patiently and said: "Brother! She is absolutely right."
The husband said: "Sir! I have come to you for a solution to the problem, not to get a fatwa."
The Mufti Sahib smiled and advised: "There is a way! Go and tell your wife that according to Sharia, I am allowed to have four wives. Therefore, I am getting married a second time. That wife will live with my parents and serve them, while I will get a separate house for you, and you can live there in peace."
When the husband said this to his wife, she was stunned and immediately changed her tune, saying: "Oh, forget about the second marriage! I will stay here. Your parents are also my parents, and serving them is obligatory on us anyway, as a matter of honoring a Muslim."
*Take some time to sit in the company of scholars, because Google does not have the solution to every problem*
