*A False Notion and a Shattered Family*
To destroy a person's home, sometimes a bomb, a weapon, or an enemy is not needed. Sometimes a false notion, a baseless suspicion, a foolish sense of honor is enough to annihilate an entire family. Sometimes, for someone's life, it is enough to be mistaken for an innocent person at the wrong time and in the wrong place.
A story that has no reality, but this behavior is a practice in society. The story begins with an ordinary day. A stranger's envelope is thrown at the door of a house. The daughter-in-law of the house opened the door, picked up the envelope, and opened it. She was surprised that there was a letter inside that had neither her name nor her address. The writing was full of emotions and nonsense. The daughter-in-law looked, understood, and immediately said, "This letter has come by mistake; it is not mine."
Saying this, she put the letter aside. Her heart was content, her conscience was satisfied because the truth was that she was innocent; it was not her fault. And no chaste woman gives rise to such suspicion. I am not convinced that such women do not exist; they do exist in our society, but are very unknown. But I have to explain my headline; nothing else. And I hope sensible people will try to understand.
What happens next is that some mothers-in-law are a stain on the name of mother-in-law. Now, the misfortune of this respectable woman was that the letter had first caught the mother-in-law's eye, the same mother-in-law who had old grudges in her heart for the daughter-in-law, whose tongue always had poison, and whose eye always had suspicion, for whom no clarification from the daughter-in-law was credible. In a moment, a whole story was prepared in her mind: "This daughter-in-law was looking for an opportunity; she is corresponding; she is having an affair; she is hollowing out the honor of our house."
The malice filled in her heart was eager to descend into the husband's ear through her tongue.
When the husband came home, the mother-in-law took him aside and narrated the whole drama with great confidence, with artificial tears in her eyes, a self-made sense of honor in her tone, and the letter in her hand. "Look at your wife's deeds; she will not let us live in society; she is playing with our honor and wants to humiliate us in society. I do not tolerate her actions. I do not know what kind of honor you have; your wife is up to something." As much as possible, his ears were filled, and he was made uncontrollable.
The husband did not give a moment's respite to the truth, did not ask a question, did not listen to the clarification, did not look at the address on the letter, did not think that in the entire life of the woman he had spent many years with, this act had never come to light. Anger became blind, honor became mad, and reason was completely paralyzed. At that moment, he called his wife.
He did not listen to a single word of hers.
Just in the intoxication of ignorant honor, he tied her with a rope and beat her until she was covered in blood. Her screams echoed from every corner of the house, but they were not heard because when a person considers shamelessness as honor, then even the voice of truth seems like a sin to him. She kept getting beaten and kept saying, "For God's sake, this is not my fault; this is not my letter; I have nothing to do with it," but he had crossed all levels of ignorance, and his human honor had disappeared, and he had gone mad in the intoxication of words.
That shameless mother-in-law kept watching, and that wife kept begging for mercy. After the oppression, that shameless mother-in-law handed the letter to the husband.
The husband read it, loving sentences, sweet truths, absurd phrases, crazy actions, kept reading and kept getting angrier, and kept cursing himself. She, suffering from pain, kept saying no, as if this was my writing. *How difficult it is to confess to a sin that we have not committed* is the other aspect of it.
After this, to solidify the enmity, the mother-in-law also called the girl's brother and mother, "Come and take your immoral daughter away; she has destroyed the honor of our house. We caught her writing letters and talking nonsense." On the other hand, the girl was lying on the bed, covered in wounds. On the other hand, the brother came, burning in the name of honor. He did not see the sister's condition, did not see the blood, did not see the sobs, only saw the suspicions that the mother-in-law and husband had filled in his mind. He dragged the sister down, raining slaps, kicks, and abuses.
The girl kept crying, kept joining her hands, saying, "I have nothing to do with this letter; it has come by mistake," but to prove her innocence, the sister decided to swear on the Quran to her brother. The Holy Quran was called for. The girl performed ablution, and with a completely trembling voice, she placed her hand on the Quran and said,
*I swear to God, I am innocent*
But when a false notion sits on someone's mind, even oaths on the Quran become useless. The mother-in-law poured oil on the fire and said, "We do not trust such a woman. A wife who can betray her husband can also lie by placing her hand on the Quran."
This statement stuck in the brother's mind like a nail. He did not pause for a minute, took out a pistol, and shot four bullets into his own sister's head.
She sobbed, looking at her children, and departed from the world, saying that there will definitely be a day of justice 😭
Six innocent children saw their mother being beaten in front of their eyes
First by the father's hands, then by the maternal uncle's hands. They kept crying, kept begging
They kept shouting, "Don't kill Mom, don't kill Mom," but reason had died in the name of honor, hearts had become stone, and self-esteem had been sold without knowing the reality of absurd things. And when people do not fear Allah, then they fall into every temptation of Satan. For God's sake, Islam has set some conditions and laws for proving every crime, and who are you to decide life and death on just one uncommitted crime.
When the police took out the record of the letter, the whole truth was revealed to the world. That letter had come to the wrong address; that letter was for someone else; that letter was not for that innocent woman.
The murderer brother committed suicide in jail after hearing the truth. The husband, mother-in-law, and mother were all arrested and shed tears over their crime, but what was to be done now? The whole family had been ruined, lives had become restless, and the whole family had been annihilated.
Brother, for God's sake, before declaring someone guilty, investigate the crime as much as possible and decide in the right direction, otherwise remember that a very big court is also to be held in the court of Allah, where milk will be separated from water, and there your way to clarification will also be stopped.
